The ABP Newport Wales Marathon is the latest mass participation marathon to hit the UK, satisfying the demand for a premier marathon distance event in Wales. The inaugural run will be held on 29 April 2018, offering the perfect alternative to London.
The route will be one of the UK’s flattest and fastest marathon courses – taking in a host of iconic landmarks, picturesque medieval villages and Newport’s recently regenerated city-centre.
The route for the inaugural ABP Newport Wales Marathon has been devised by double Olympic marathon runner Steve Brace. It will start and finish on Newport’s vibrant riverfront and can boast being one of the flattest marathon routes in the UK.
Water and fuel will be available on route and all finishers will receive a t-shirt and medal. The cut off time for this event is 6 hours and 30 minutes.
